It is highly effective in ultimately killing any waterborne diseases that could occur due to bacteria, parasites and various organisms. There are a number of applications for introducing chlorine into your water supply. Chlorination can be done prior to the water being filtered or even after. What you want is for the chlorine to actively kill any living organisms in the water.
